Do Hard Things“Alex and Brett Harris are two extraordinary young men with a revolutionary message. Their book Do Hard Things is a clarion call for Christian young people not to be seduced by the world’s low expectations for the adolescent years. Instead, Alex and Brett call their generation to spend those years acting boldly for the glory of God.  In a culture where laziness and ease is often the order of the day for teenagers, Do Hard Things presents a radical and provocative alternative. I heartily recommend this book.”  -  R. Albert Mohler, Jr.

JSBBWe’ve had family devotions since the boys were babies and we’ve gone through several story books over the years but the one we are using now is by far our favorite. The Jesus Storybook Bible flows through the Bible on a high level like most children’s Bible’s but it includes much more then most. Sally Lloyd-Jones (author) does an excellent job bringing every story back to Jesus. The Scriptures are not merely a collection of stories designed to teach moral lessons, the resurrected Jesus explained on the road to Emmaus to the men walking, the whole Bible is about Jesus. In the words of the subtitle, every story whispers his name. Lloyd-Jones tells the stories in a relevant, kid-friendly way that preserves the meaning and impact. I highly recommend it, the only problem for mom and dad has been reading through a story without getting choked up.
